Initial meeting

The initial appointment is fundamental for both me and you to make a decision whether to work together. It’s also the opportunity for you to ask questions, find out more about the therapeutic process, talk about what you hope to get out of it and agree a desirable outcome that we both feel is realistic and achievable. If you decide to continue with a psychotherapy or couple therapy programme, you will be asked to commit to attending regular sessions.

Duration and frequency of sessions

Once weekly sessions are the norm, although there will be times when it may be clinically appropriate to have sessions more or less frequently. The standard length is 50 minutes. Sessions can continue for a limited period of time or on an open-ended basis for more in-depth analytic work. We will discuss the potential duration of our work during the initial meeting and this can be reviewed at any stage.

The fee for face-to-face individual or couple therapy sessions taking place at my central London practice is £110.

The fee for online individual or couple therapy sessions taking place daytime during the week is £80.

Cancellations and missed sessions

For therapy to have a positive outcome it is very important to attend regularly. In cases when a client is unable to attend for a valid reason, I request that the cancellation is notified with at least 48 hours notice, otherwise the missed session is billed in full to the client.

Online Psychotherapy via Skype or FaceTime

If you are unable to attend in person and it's clinically appropriate for us to work remotely (based on your presenting problems), I also offer sessions via Skype or FaceTime. Please visit my website dedicated to online therapy for further information:
